JUSTIN MELUNIS

Personal Statement

Hello, I enjoy to spend time with my family and cooking large meals. I also enjoy things such as building my own furniture, arts and crafts and kayaking. I really enjoy learning, even if its not anything related to my research. I also am a veteran and completed a tour in Iraq. I really hope, like most everyone else, to hopefully travel and experience other cultures.

Research Statement

My current research focuses on understanding the dynamics of calcium within lymphocytes and how this affects immune function. I am attempting to model the interactions that take place during immune cell stimulation, how this is translated into a calcium signal, and how that signal is translated into a proper response.
